Aussieclean has noticed the ever growing popularity of stone bench tops in new or renovated homes. Though this doesn’t mean they aren’t prone to stains and damages!
One prime rule to never forget is wipe spills or mess us as soon as possible with a paper towel. Warm soapy water is your next best bet but it is important to not use the same cloth used for cleaning dishes as this can introduce other oils which can stain too.
DON’T- don’t use anything abrasive to clean
DO- use chopping boards
DON’T- put hot pots/ pans or trays on benches
Be careful of:
– red wine
– curry or tandoori sauce
– beetroot
– tumeric
– berried
– pasta sauce & any other strongly coloured foods.
